Finding Hope in: Justice

This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.” (Isaiah 56:1)

Every day, we are presented with decisions to make. We can either choose the right decisions or the wrong ones. Our Father gives us the ability to choose for ourselves which decisions to make. To choose what is unjust only alters our growth, as we will then be led to the next roadblock, at which point we can choose to ask for help in getting through our obstacle or instead try finding our own way around it. If we knowingly go around the roadblock in uncertainty of right or wrong, we are headed for trouble because the world is unjust and corrupt and does not look out for our best interests. Our God does care, has chosen our path long ago, and is waiting patiently for us to make the right decisions, so that no matter what roadblock in life that we face, we can come to Him in full certainty that we can get through it if we ask for and receive His help.

Times are increasingly difficult as you patiently await My return; know that I have predestined your fate. Your willingness to accept My offer of freedom of choice can either prohibit your advancement or alter it. If you so choose to go the road less traveled by many and choose what is right in light of My Word, you will never fail, although it may seem that way at the moment. Know that your plans will always succeed if you choose what is just, and so then I give you peace in your heart, and you feel as though you can conquer the world because I have given you a keen sense of awareness as you learn to seek Me with all your heart. You must be aware that the world will offer you all kinds of false securities and entice you with riches and fame as the enemy works hard at leading you astray. If you lose sight of My Word, you will increasingly become subject to these false truths as the enemy tries to get you to blend in with society! You, child, were created for something more, and you must learn to put away these idols, be bold, and come to Me for direction and in faith so that you may always make the right decisions. The closer you are to Me, the easier it becomes to pick yourself up after the enemy’s attacks that are sure to come. As you allow Me to hold on to you, become less accessible to his pointless schemes that will soon falter to the wayside. Take heart and choose what is right; come to Me in silent time of prayer and petition so that you know what is just and upright. My love will never fail you. Believe this with all your heart.

Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: Return to me, declares the Lord Almighty, and I will return to you, says the Lord Almighty. Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the Lord Almighty says: Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices. But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the Lord. Where are your ancestors now? And the prophets, do they live forever? But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors? Then they repented and said, “The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.” (Zechariah 1:3–6)

Prayer for the Day

Thank You, my Lord and Savior, for continually taking me in when I falter. Please forgive me for my sins, and help me to learn from them. I do not want to go back to my old ways, but I pray that I will maintain justice in a distraught world. I lay down my weaknesses at Your feet, and I commit to living more justly in Your sight. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
