Finding Hope in: God’s Will for Your Life
Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. (James 4:13–17)
God’s will for your life is more magnificent than anything the world could ever provide. It is a bittersweet fruit you may savor forever; as you ruminate on the Word of God, you appreciate its flavor. Life does not come without tangles that stretch our faith. But these rough intricacies are soon smoothed out by the assurance of God’s plan for our lives. Praying for God’s will to be done in our lives assists us down the uneven track of life to one that God places firmly back together. Without prayer and a desire to want God’s will for our lives, we will surely be entangled by the web of life. You will discover all the Lord has set out for you to do in the world as the Lord guides you in prayer and as you learn to break through the stringy web of the world.
My plans for you will never be if you rest in complacency. Stretch out your faith to discover the many joys of this life you were destined to encounter. Your hart must be willing, and a desire for the unknown must be present. You may not ever completely understand the unknown, but you will reap the benefits it has to offer. Praying for My will to be done in your life ensures that your journey is strong and true. Too many of life’s projections offer false securities and incentives that bring you to a dead end. Do not fall for these lies! Come to Me in silence and rectitude with a desire to discover your destiny, and you will find it. Assuredly, it will overcome you with joy as I stand at your right side. Never give up, and trust that I have your best interest working daily in your life as you keep firm in My word. I love you.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. (Hebrews 10:36)
Prayer for the Day
Father in heaven, thank You for always looking out for me and having my best interest in mind. I know that oftentimes I get wrapped up in my own affairs, and I lose sight of Your plans for me. Please help me to seek Your will for my life and to pray for Your guidance in everything. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’s name, we pray. Amen!
