Patience is the Secret Ingredient

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” - James 1:2-3 NIV

If it’s one thing we need in the midst of our trials, it’s faith! Faith that this pain, this thorn in our side, is temporary! We also need patience to ride out the test.

Patience is the secret ingredient that develops are faith and so we can pass the test! We need patient in our trials and this means sticking it through tough times

Then God can move us to new levels!

Patience can be a lot harder to for us because none of us like to wait! When we are placed in situations that require our patience, this can be very FRUSTRATING! In these times we need to press into God even more. We need to PRAY and FOCUS on what we are striving for. When we feel like we are lacking, we need to trust in the Spirit and NOT OUR FEELINGS, and know that God is our strength and desires us to depend on Him alone.

Remember this race we are running to our destiny is not for the faint at heart. We have to not only keep the pace with others, but train harder so that we do not fall behind. The devil is at your heels – don’t let him catch up!

What tries your patience? Once you identify the area you need more patience in, you know you are being exercised and trained for maximum potential!

Today, my patience is often tested as a parent. I understand that the things I want I have to wait for the right timing, that what God wants is ABOVE my wants.

But now I need patience with other people…and who better to teach me that than my own children! This is how God works ALL things for our good. He finds circumstances in my life that require my patience as He is developing my faith.

The more patience I acquire – the more my faith can develop. As I learn to wait patiently – I am showing God my level of faith. Is your faith big or small?

You see, we are always learning how to press through our trials because we will always be growing and evolving into who God wants us to be. It is not until we are with our Maker that we are complete. Until then, we need to be striving for growth and progress. We need be praying for it too and know that sometimes we will feel uncomfortable….

Hold on tight friends, we are all in this together…..so let us pray for one another

We might as well work with God on this one. Stop trying to resist trials and take it as a learning experience – one that will advance you if you let it. When times get tough, press into God, and stop relying on your own strength! Trust that he does know what he’s doing even if we can’t see it.

God smiles when we have faith because we are showing Him that we believe in Him; TRUST that he is rooting for us when we have to WAIT.

We must have faith but don’t forget the secret ingredient of PATIENCE SO THAT YOU DO NOT GROW WEARY.

We must not only wait patiently but pick up the pace in our ACTIONS. It’s time to start running with perseverance because in this race we can’t afford to let up. If we slow our pace when times get tough then the enemy can gain ground and you can bet he is not going to let up because his goal is to destroy us.

Have great faith in the knowledge that God is working ALL THINGS out for your good…including what may not seem good for you at this present moment. Step it up in our faith and allow God to perfect something mighty tasty and appealing. And wait patiently and progressively.

So take a deep breath and get your running shoes on.

God wants to serve up something good. But without patience, the main course will be missing something. When faith is the main course, patience is the secret ingredient that completes perfection!

After all God is perfection and we were made in his image. Doesn’t that equal great things for us?

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Hold fast. Be still in My name, and I will guide you effortlessly to your destiny: a world filled not with lust and sin but with hope and faith. I will widen your gaze if you just let Me in. I see your struggles, and I have so much to offer aside from these hard times that are trials in disguise. You see the short range—but I see the big picture, and there is so much awaiting you. Trust in My Holy Spirit that is within those that believe so that you will not be led astray in your trials. Come to Me—and you will see all My wonderful gifts at your doorstep! All you have to do is knock—I await you graciously, with open arms! – Exert from
