Choosing Faith

Have you ever felt as though God left you behind? We may have felt this way but we know this to not be true because the Word says that God will never leave us or forsake us. - Deuteronomy 31:6

Naturally, we are seeking an extraordinary experience to swoop us of our feet so that we will land at our destiny. But if God just gave us everything at our command we would be spoiled rotten. Don’t we teach our children to appreciate what they get? Since God is our Father, why should we expect anything different from him? He does have our best interest at hand although many times our self-will gets in the way.

The truth is there are miracles in our everyday lives if we choose to see them. Sometimes we must get uncomfortable to even see them. We have gotten lost in the mix of chaos in the world. God is with us through every minor or major detail of our lives. Our focus must maintain on God in a consistent pattern so that we are not easily distracted. After all, isn’t that what the enemy wants?

We must acknowledge that God is with us through it all because we know that God works everything for the good. Acknowledgment of this shows that we are believing in faith and will work for our benefit. Conversely, when we begin to doubt or start putting our trust in our feelings we begin to wander off our God-given path. We must learn to trust in our God and act in faith and not our feelings. Feelings get us in trouble.

When you are not feeling God’s presence, you must rely on his word that re-assures us he is always present. We must search our heart and set our feelings aside. We ask for the spirits guidance in all our affairs and trust God’s way over our own. “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” – Romans 8:14. When we falter, we repent- and rise up stronger than before, not allowing feelings of guilt to overwhelm us or hold us back because this is where the enemy tries to keep us down. We never allow this because we are more than conquerors in Christ.

As revealed in scripture, God is faithful to His Word. Just like scripture exposes Truth as we come to know God, we can discover in our own lives how God’s promises come to life as we believe in them. We must come to know God to know His great promises. God has placed a desire in our hearts, and He is sure to carry it out. We must believe in faith and in God’s timing, letting go of our preconceived ideas. Although God’s timing is different than our own, making the best of our time allows us to forget about the wait. Then, perhaps, while we wait for the very thing our heart desires, it will be there at our footsteps in the least expected way; we can rest assured that the wait was worth the while.

My Word gives you direction and strength; you must seek My Word to discover this rarity. In My living Word, you will find truth that was once vacant in your life, but now this truth will be made known by the call of My name. I am faithful to My promises I have made for you. But you will not ever know them if you do not look for Me. I am never far from your side; rather, I am by your side, urging you to press forward in faith to discover the beauty of life through Me, your Father in heaven. Faith is the evidence of things hoped for but not yet seen. Faith is your awareness of My existence and the assurance that I will follow through with My plans for you. If you are in My will, your plans succeed. Working in My will provides you with many unknown treasures held dear to your heart. As you wait for your breakthrough, understand it is already bursting through the seams of life that are withered and torn. You must believe this truth to see this mighty revelation that is a result of faithfulness.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)
